Q) do u
think it’s okay for scientists to experiment on helpless animals, even if the
experiment might eventually save human
lives?
This is a very debatable topic, many doctors use different
species to study genetics, they do not think of what they are doing but they
only look for their answers and results. I feel using these innocent creatures
is a crime, we have to remember that even though we are more powerful, we share
mother earth with different beings created by god. We can’t forget that animals
were created way before human beings came in; it is their right to live on this
earth. This is not our world it is theirs; we are just taking a part of it.
Even though we own a big part of this world it is not fair to the other species
if we bother them. This doesn’t apply just to scientist but even to other
people who think animal cruelty is a sport like hunters. As Paul Rodriguez has
rightly quoted that “Hunting is not a sport. In a sport, both sides should know
they're in the game.” Hunting is a very bad way of entertaining ourselves;
imagine an elephant with a bow and arrow coming to kill us. This would have
been the case if apes did not develop into humans! We understand that we have
matured in such a way that we are big in numbers and stronger with weapons but
that doesn’t mean that we stop natural growth.
Well, as I said it is a debatable topic as scientists use
these creatures for our future survival but it ends up in their death. It is
something like using small things for a bigger thing. It is a good idea but
would we like it if we were the small thing? We should put ourselves in nature’s
shoes and then look at this situation; we will surely feel the pain.
